The Art Of Less and Let Go

Frustrations Caused by Self Righteousness -- Tommy Keeting

The ego is preoccupied with time for this is essentially what it fears the most.  The ego waffles from one extreme to the other.  It suffers from poor I-sight.  It isn't grounded in reality but desires to lull its victim asleep into a state of complacently.  It appeals to fleshly feelings and if it senses its victim is enjoining the truth about how God truly values His creation, it will launch an all out attack on surely how its victim is not good enough.  The ego is the procrastinator and a paranoid one at that.  The ego knows that the longer it is allowed to cause its victim to doubt, this delay will lead to a possible despondency.  The ego hates simplicity because it is obvious and simple.  It tells its victim that "it looks too good to be true and therefore it is."  Heck!  That platitude doesn’t even make any sense.  Looks have nothing to do with truth.  Either it is or it isn’t.  The ego tells its victim that everyone has hidden agendas and that no one can be trusted.  Its reason for doing this is an obvious ploy inasmuch as it wants to borrow more miserable time from its victim by separating and isolation away from others.  The ego is essentially competitive.  It doesn't care that another is intelligent or good looking as long as it can create the grandiose illusion that it is more intelligent and better looking.
